The Glastonbury registration process developed for See Tickets by Majestic Interactive closed this week at midnight on Monday 5th March. The process, designed to limit the number of tickets falling into the hands of touts, has proved to be extremely successful - processing a total of 395,000 registrations.

proved to be extremely successful - processing a total of 395,000 registrations.

The registration process was launched on the 1st February and required aspiring festival-goers to register their details in order to receive a unique registration ID. This ID can then be used to gain access to the ticket ordering pages on the See Tickets website later this year on April 1st. In a further effort to combat the activities of ticket touts the registration process also required that users submit a passport sized photograph which will be printed on their ticket.

The system has received extremely positive feedback from festival organisers, praising both the systems ease of use and it’s effectiveness in reducing the potential impact of ticket touts.
