Glastonbury registration process launched by See Tickets in partnership with Majestic

Majestic Team A new Glastonbury registration system was launched this week by See Tickets, the exclusive distributor of festival tickets for 2007.

The new system requires aspiring festival-goers to register their details online between the 1st and 28th of February in order to receive a unique registration ID. This ID can then be used to gain access to the ticket ordering pages on the See Tickets website later this year on April 1st. In a further effort to combat the activities of ticket touts the registration process also requires that users submit a passport sized photograph which will be printed on their ticket.

attention to usability and accessibility standards, high traffic volumes and to ensuring that the form functions correctly in as many different browser versions as possible Majestic developed the registration form using the Microsoft. Net framework - paying particular attention to usability and accessibility standards, high traffic volumes and to ensuring that the form functions correctly in as many different browser versions as possible. Unique traffic management measures have also been put in place using class-leading devices recently installed in the See Tickets hosting infrastructure. These devices allow Majestic to write specialist rules to monitor traffic on the registration form and cap the maximum levels of visitors permitted on the page at any one time – ensuring that sufficient hardware resource is available to maintain normal levels of performance for ticket buyers on the rest of the See Tickets website.

The registration process has already attracted extremely positive feedback on numerous Glastonbury festival forums and as expected, has succeeded in processing a significant number of registrations already.
